This Scarlet Roar katana is hand-forged in Maru-zukuri construction from folded high-carbon steel, showcasing a refined masame grain on the surface. The blade features a straight suguha hamon, achieved through traditional clay tempering, with a well-balanced shinogi-zukuri geometry, an elegant iori-mune spine, and a medium-sized chū-kissaki tip.

The koshirae is adorned with a round steel tsuba carved with a tiger and rabbit motif, finished in deep black patina for a bold, dignified presence. Matching fuchi and kashira carry intricate mitsudomoe designs, harmonizing strength with artistry.

The tsuka is expertly wrapped in red cotton ito over genuine rayskin, creating a precise diamond pattern with hishigami for comfort and durability. The saya is finished in a rich brown ishime-ji lacquer with a textured stone-like surface, while the koiguchi, kojiri, and kurigata are reinforced with water buffalo horn for enhanced durability. A tightly woven red cotton sageo completes the mounting, adding both elegance and functionality.
