This Blazing Edge katana is expertly forged in a Maru-style construction from high-performance modern steel. The blade features aĀ decorative straight-edge (suguha) hamon, polished to highlight its temper line. The Musashi-style openwork tsuba is crafted from iron with a sleek blackened finish, its double-ring design offering both lightness and strength.
The fuchi-kashira are made of white copper, polished to a smooth finish with no engravings, while the shakudo habaki provides a refined transition between blade and fittings. The menuki feature a sword-and-dragon motif in blackened white copper beneath the wrap.
The tsuka is wrapped in black silk over natural ray skin, with diamond-patterned hishigami adding both texture and grip. The saya is finished in a rich red lacquer, and the koiguchi, kurigata, and kojiri are reinforced with durable water buffalo horn. A matching black silk sageo completes this elegant and functional mounting.
